Suryaveer International, have came up with a brilliant give-take plan Under a Public private partnership project with co operation with the Kathmandu Municipality and lalitpur municipality. They made these Solar Off Grid Smart Bus Stand for the public for free and generate revenue through advertising. It’s one of a kind platform for advertisers in city of Kathmandu. The company has already installed 54 solar-powered bus shelters throughout the Valley. These shelters do not need to be plugged into the grid and creates a safe clean public space for the valley. The shelters will save CO2 emissions each, illuminating the advertising panels and the shelter itself provide security at night for vendor public and public around.
The company has built the solar infrastructure for the first time in Nepal, in order to provide safe shelter for commuters and to address the overpopulated Valley’s environmental and electricity concerns. MD Mr. Harish Agrawal said installing the new shelters helps “promote the city’s goal to go green while providing better transit services to bus riders. He said the cost savings will be significant. The city will save not hundreds, but few million NPR in electricity costs with these shelters.
